Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital Speech Therapy department, with a minimum of 15–18 months of recent SLP experience required.

Details

• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, schedule may vary
• 5 shifts per week in an acute care Speech Therapy department
• Supports a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses including ICU patients, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive cases
• Patient care is driven by physician orders across the hospital
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active Georgia SLP license required (license required if applicable)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 15–18 months of recent SLP experience within the specialty
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront prior to offer

Additional Information

• Prior acute care SLP experience is strongly desirable
• Proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and/or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) is a plus but not required
• Local candidates are accepted for this position; no radius restriction applies
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have at least a 2-year break from the facility before being considered
