American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with hand therapy and splint experience for a 13-week outpatient physical therapy clinic assignment in Oklahoma City, OK.

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Hand therapy-focused position requiring splint experience

Requirements

• Active OT license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
• Demonstrated hand therapy and splinting skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Evaluate patients across areas including independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, and psychosocial skills
• Develop individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals, including frequency and duration of treatment
• Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices; provide instruction on joint protection and body mechanics
• Educate patients and families on goals, progress, and home therapy plans; assist with discharge planning and equipment ordering
• May supervise OT students
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon booking; compliance deadlines are strictly enforced
