Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Corpus Christi, TX, requiring hospital experience and current BLS certification.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit located on floor 3S of an acute care hospital
• 15-bed unit with a staff of 20, including PT/PTA, OT/COTA, and rehab tech team members
• Patient ratio of 5 patients per SLP
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with at least 2 weekend days required per month
• Common procedures include evaluations, treatments, and modified barium swallows (MBS)
• May float to acute care areas within the hospital
• EMR: Meditech
• Standard therapy and basic lift equipment used on the unit

Requirements

• Active SLP license required where applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 6 months of SLP experience within the last 6 months required
• Hospital experience required
• Must have no gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Inpatient rehab experience is preferred and will be prioritized during candidate review
• Experience with CARE scoring is a plus
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Navy blue scrubs required
