American Traveler is hiring a pediatric Occupational Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week contract at a Level III trauma hospital, working four 10-hour shifts per week in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Details

• Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation setting at a Level III trauma hospital
• Position does not require floating to inpatient units
• Common diagnoses include developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, and hydrocephalus
• Caseload of approximately 9 patients per day
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Epic EMR is used in this position
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OT license required for consideration (license required if applicable)
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with at least 1 year specifically in pediatric OT
• Outpatient OT experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
• Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
• Orientation consists of a half-day orientation, followed by one week with a limited caseload and shadowing
• Business casual attire with closed-toe shoes is required

• Epic EMR experience is beneficial given its use in this position
