American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time day shift contract position in South Dakota, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Full-time day shift schedule at 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Rehabilitation therapy setting working alongside a registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Works with patients and residents experiencing illness, injury, or disability to improve ability to perform daily activities

Requirements

• Active COTA state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a COTA
• Date of birth (DOB) and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Implements OT-established treatment plans in accordance with AOTA guidelines, state and federal regulations, and applicable practice acts
• Documents occupational therapy services in resident medical records and prepares required documentation for billing and discharge planning purposes
• Monitors residents' environments to identify barriers to therapy and recovery, and communicates recommendations to the supervising OT
• Provides functional status and assessment data as assigned by the OT or rehabilitation director during defined observation periods
• Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and business development meetings as required
