Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of PICU and NICU experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in a large academic medical center setting.

Details

• PICU and NICU setting at a large hospital
• Both PICU and NICU patient populations covered — PEDS-only experience is not sufficient
• Workload is RVU-based, with 580 minutes assigned out of a 720-minute shift; ICU assignments may carry a higher RVU allocation
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• No holiday or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Current VA RRT or CRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in both PICU and NICU settings
• Active certifications required: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• RRT or CRT credential accepted

Additional Information

• Three-week orientation structure: first week is department orientation, second week involves shadowing and training to general care, and third week transitions to managing an independent assignment
• Charcoal gray or pewter scrubs required
