Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a night shift, every-weekend position requiring floating across multiple hospital campuses.

Details

• Night shift hours: 7p–7:30a (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) plus two rotating weekdays is required
• Work in a respiratory/neuro diagnostics unit
• ICU patient population
• Charting via Cerner (experience required)
• Floating required between affiliated hospital campuses in the network

Requirements

• Current RRT credential issued by the NBRC
• Active Indiana (IN) or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; AHA and RQI formats accepted
• Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience required (2 years preferred)
• Education must be from a program accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
• Candidates must be comfortable with and aware of the every-weekend requirement prior to consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• All travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate campuses
