Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital position on a Medical Rehabilitation Unit, with at least 1 year of experience and WV PT licensure required prior to start.

Details

• Medical Rehabilitation Unit inside a trauma-level hospital
• Patient population is primarily stroke patients (~40%)
• Maximum patient ratio of 1:5, with typical daily caseload of 3–4 patients at approximately 90 minutes each
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shifts from 7:30am–4pm (5x8)
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• Charting is performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active WV PT license required prior to start (pending license accepted during credentialing process)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); medical exemption documentation from an allergist or physician accepted
• Driver's license and SSN card required for consideration
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

• Scrubs may be any color except blue, forest green, or maroon, which are reserved for nursing staff
