American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and/or PICU experience for a night shift position at a pediatric acute care teaching hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Details

• Work in a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit at a 400-bed children's acute care teaching hospital
• Pediatric patient population with exposure to NICU, PICU, and ED cases
• Level 1 trauma facility
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• No floating within the facility

Requirements

• Active MO state license required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (must be noted at time of consideration)
• Current certifications: BLS and RRT
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• Experience in ED and pediatric critical care settings required
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services to critically ill pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, and ED settings
• Any color scrubs or facility-branded T-shirts/jackets are acceptable
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not accepted
