American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics position at a major medical center in New Orleans, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications with Epic EMR experience preferred.

Details

• Position is based in a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit at a large medical center in New Orleans, LA
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Epic EMR experience is preferred

Requirements

• Current RRT credential and valid state license required if applicable
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must be an experienced RT — new graduates will not be considered
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted, provided the candidate has prior RT experience
• In the event of a declared emergency, the unit manager may assign staff to an Emergency Team, which may require remaining at the facility until the event has passed or serving on a relief team — applicants should be comfortable with this expectation before applying
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
