American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Georgia, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and active GA licensure and NBCOT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital OT unit
• Primary schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30–18:00, with every other weekend required
• Alternative schedule available: 5x8-hour shifts with varying start times (Mon/Wed 9:45–18:15; Tues/Thurs/Fri 7:30–16:00)
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope of practice to an affiliated outpatient facility as needed
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, and progressive disease cases such as Parkinson's, arthritis, and amputees

Requirements

• Active Georgia OT state license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Active NBCOT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• Experience with orthopedics, dynamic splints, functional splints, static splints, amputee care, upper/lower extremity rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders required

• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
• RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate schedule or shift change requests are permitted — the posted schedule is firm
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time
