American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a 13-week day shift travel assignment requiring Drager ventilator and Cerner proficiency.

• Day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week
• Experience required in both NICU and adult care settings
• Drager ventilator experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required — CRT not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy in a U.S. hospital setting
• NICU and adult care experience required
• Drager ventilator proficiency required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Active license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the most recent 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care per physician prescription across all care settings
• Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation, including obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Provide management, education, rehabilitation, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, and artificial airway care
• Perform bronchopulmonary hygiene, administer pharmacological agents related to respiratory care, and support cardiopulmonary rehab and hemodynamic cardiovascular needs
• All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
