American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient clinic setting in South Carolina, requiring an active SC PTA license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:45 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Patient population includes a wide variety of conditions related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments

Requirements

• Active South Carolina PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a PTA

Additional Information

• Administer PT treatment plans to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disability, and promote overall patient health and fitness
• Implement interventions tailored to each patient's learning style and therapeutic needs, incorporating psycho-social, cultural, and spiritual considerations
• Document patient progress with measurable and functional goals, including progress notes, treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries within regulatory and departmental timelines
• Communicate regularly with the supervising PT to discuss patient progress and set goals
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment, patient progress, complications, and order clarifications
• Maintain CEUs independently to meet SC LLR licensure requirements
• Contribute to department performance through professional development, competency training, in-service coordination, and mentoring new hires
