American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care hospital experience for a day shift NICU/Respiratory Therapy position at a large hospital in Fort Pierce, FL.

Details

• 437-bed hospital with a respiratory therapy department staffed by 7–10 RRTs per shift alongside supervisory and director-level personnel
• Approximately 44–46 procedures performed per shift
• Equipment used includes Servo I ventilators, Hamilton ventilators, V60, Astral, CPAP and BiPAP machines, nebulizers, ABG equipment, and CPT devices
• EMR system is Meditech; prior Meditech experience is strongly preferred
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT license and certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the respiratory therapy specialty
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for respiratory therapy staff caring for neonates
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Trauma experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida position)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
• Work within a close-knit, fast-paced team with collaborative physician relationships and an active, patient-focused approach to care
• Light grey scrubs required
