American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient travel assignment in Tyler, TX, with at least 1 year of experience and a focus on orthopedic and neurological patient populations.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting within a rehabilitation department
• Primary patient population includes orthopedic cases with some neurological cases
• 1:1 patient ratio with one patient scheduled every 45 minutes
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday hours close early, with the extra hour made up across Monday–Thursday
• 13-week contract duration

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred
• Active Texas LPT license required
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• License required if applicable
• Active certifications must be current and not expired at time of consideration
• Valid US Social Security Number required
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include independently assessing patients, formulating measurable and attainable therapy goals, and reassessing patient progress per department and regulatory policy
• Duties also include identifying appropriate equipment and coordinating with patients, families, and physicians as needed
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless explicitly noted on the position
