Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a hospital-based position in Michigan requiring AHA certifications and a mixed day/night shift schedule.

Details

• Three 12-hour shifts per week on a 4-week repeating schedule
• Primary schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays on day shift (5:30am–6:00pm), with rotating Wednesday night shifts (5:30pm–6:00am)
• Rotating weekend coverage required, approximately one Saturday or Sunday shift per schedule cycle
• Mixed day and night shift position

Requirements

• Active RRT certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• Active Michigan (MI) state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
• Current Respiratory Therapy skills checklist (within 1 year) required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administer medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers as part of routine respiratory care
• Perform protocol evaluations to assess and treat cardiopulmonary conditions
• Respond immediately to Rapid Response, arrest, and STAT situations, including maintaining artificial airways and providing cardiac compressions
• Set up and maintain all oxygen delivery systems according to protocol
• Work may be performed independently or in consultation with a physician
• Previous travel assignment experience is preferred
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
