Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with Maryland licensure and outpatient orthopedic experience for a 13-week assignment at an outpatient orthopedic and sports rehab clinic.

Details

• Outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation clinic setting
• Patient caseload consists primarily of post-op orthopedic (general and total joints), back and neck (manual therapy), and other musculoskeletal conditions
• 1:1 patient treatment model in a hands-on, patient-centered environment
• State-of-the-art gym equipment and technologies available on-site
• Web-based EMR used for documentation and charting
• Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends and no holidays
• Clinic hours span 7:00am–7:00pm; team typically splits between early shifts (7:30am–3:30pm) and late shifts (10:30am–7:00pm)

Requirements

• Current active PTA license in Maryland required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS/BCLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited program required
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient experience preferred; new graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations will also be considered
• 1 year of orthopedic and manual therapy experience preferred, or strong orthopedic clinicals
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication required
