Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic setting, requiring a minimum of 1 year of outpatient PT experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient orthopedic clinic setting with treatment rooms surrounding a large gym space
• 4x10-hour day shifts per week, scheduled as two 7:00 AM–5:00 PM days and two 7:00 AM–6:00 PM days
• 1:1 patient sessions of 60 minutes with no patient overlapping
• Patient caseload includes orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, cervicalgia, total hip and knee replacements, post-op shoulder and spinal surgeries, and spinal conditions
• Neurological patient population includes post-stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, and cognitive disorders
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Wisconsin PT license or compact license required; pending license accepted
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic and neurological patient populations preferred
• Must be able to develop home exercise programs and provide patient and family education
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 supervisor references required after offer
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler

• Orientation includes non-clinical modules averaging 3–4 hours
