Description

American Traveler is looking for a Home Health Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and required Homecare Homebase/OASIS proficiency for a 13-week assignment in the Suburban Maryland area.

Details

• Home health setting covering Montgomery, Prince George's, Charles, and St. Mary's counties in Maryland
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Contractors are assigned to a group of zip codes within a specific county based on staffing needs
• May be required to float to cover another zip code as needed
• Uses HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) Pointcare EMR for documentation
• Mileage reimbursed from the first to last patient visit of the day

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• MD license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience within the last 7 years
• Required experience with OASIS-E
• Required experience with HomeCare HomeBase charting system
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years
• Skills should include patient assessment, documentation, OASIS, and home exercise program instruction
• Experience with geriatric and orthopedic patient populations preferred
• Experience with COPD and CHF patient care preferred
• Familiarity with adaptive/assistive devices, gait belts, and Hoyer lifts preferred

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include home health physical therapy assessment, treatment, and OASIS documentation
• Clinicians use personal vehicles and must maintain valid licensure and insurance
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates should be comfortable proceeding without a manager interview, as interviews are not guaranteed
