Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Level 1 trauma academic medical center, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a large academic medical center with Level 1 trauma designation
• Positions available for both adult and neonatal/pediatric patient populations
• Patient assignments may include ICU, medical/surgical floors, or ED, based on department needs
• Common diagnosis includes post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and emergency cases
• Night shift position (18:30-07:00)
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Travelers are assigned based on experience and unit needs, with floating only as necessary
• EMR used is Epic, with experience preferred
• Uses specialized RT equipment including Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist, with additional HFJV and HFOV experience preferred for pediatric roles

Requirements

• Current RRT credential
• Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience required
• NC license required if applicable
• BLS required
• PALS and NRP required for NICU/Peds RT roles
• CRT accepted but not preferred
• Critical care experience in a Level 1 trauma center or high acuity setting preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Orientation includes facility onboarding and 1-2 days of departmental orientation
• Scrub color requirement is pewter (charcoal grey)
